William “Bill” Richard Pust, lovingly known by many as “Wild Bill” or “Billy,” unexpectedly passed away on May 23, in Burlington, Wisconsin, just one month shy of his 65th birthday.
Born on June 23, 1960, in Cudahy, WI, Bill was the son of the late William August Pust and Alma Florence (Korhonen) Pust. He grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and the strong bonds of family. Bill graduated from high school and went on to work as a dedicated machinist.
In 1984, Bill married the love of his life, Jean Doxtater, at St. Matthew's in Oak Creek. Though they later went their separate ways, they remained united in their greatest pride: their two sons, Kenneth “Kenny” William Pust (married to Melissa Pust) and Robert “Bobby” Richard Pust.
Bill was a proud grandfather to three beautiful granddaughters—Lily, Bayley, and Ember Pust—who were the absolute light of his life. He was also the beloved brother of Marlene Monroe, Linda Styza, and Joanne Biancuzzo, and a cherished uncle, “Uncle Bull” to many nieces and nephews.
To know Bill was to instantly feel like a friend. Whether you were an old pal or someone he just met in line at the store, he’d have you laughing and talking like you’d known each other for years. He had a unique gift for connecting with people through stories, music, humor, and a cold beer. Bill loved attending concerts, keeping an eye on the weather, and—most of all—spending time with his granddaughters, who brought him endless joy.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Sunday, June 22nd, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a service beginning at 2:30 PM, at the Ray Seidel Community Center in Waterford Whitford Park, located at 625 S 1st St, Waterford, WI 53185.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help cover the cost of cremation and services, allowing them to honor Bill’s memory with grace and dignity.
Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him—but his stories, laughter, and spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
