Thomas Kuehne Obituary

Thomas A. Kuehne, age 87 passed away in his home with his devoted and loving wife Mary at his side on May 2, 2020.

Tom brought much joy to his family, including:  Diane and Lee Doyle; Denise and Steve Montoya.  He was also a truly special Grandpa to Nicholas (Catherine) Doyle, Emily (David Baird) Doyle, Alana Montoya and Elliott Montoya.  He was the proud Great-Grandpa to Thomas A. Doyle. Tom is preceded in death by his parents. Tom was born on October 24, 1932 to Arthur and Agnes (Miller) Kuehne, formerly of Oak Creek.  He graduated from Agricultural School in Rochester, creating memories and friends that would last a lifetime. Tom and Mary Ellen (Farnham) Kuehne were married by Fr. Charles Conley on November 10, 1990 which Tom would often say “was the happiest day of his life”.

Following Ag School, Tom worked at Allen Bradley to earn enough money to buy a dump truck and start a landscaping business.  He founded The Tom Kuehne Landscaping and Incidentals Company in Oak Creek and later Parkway Sod Farm in Wind Lake. Tom eventually built his dream home on his land in Wind Lake.  He thoroughly enjoyed tilling, planting, fertilizing and mowing the high producing and quality sod using his John Deere tractors and equipment on the lush green grass that covered over 1,000 acres on his property for many years.Tom was proud to be an usher at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, enjoyed coffee with his buddies at McDonalds and loved spending time with Mary and his family on the farm. Mary and Tom traveled to Maui during the winter months. They also enjoyed Green Bay Packer Fan Tour trips as well as Milwaukee Brewers Spring Training vacations. Tom and Mary cherished the time spent visiting the Montoya family in California and later in Washington. As an avid and dedicated sports fan, Tom was proud to be a Green Bay Packer Shareholder with Mary.  He attended as many Packer and Brewers games as he was able to.  Tom was spiritual, cheerful, pleasant, positive and a kind soul.  He was a true gentleman and an adoring husband of Mary. Tom brought an incredible amount of happiness to his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all.

Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church will be private. Interment will be at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Cemetery in Waterford.
