Roy R. House

Roy Richard House age 90 passed away February 12th, 2022, with his loving family by his side.  Roy was born January 18th, 1932, to the late Charles and Pearl House. Roy proudly served his country from 1953-1955 in Germany with the 201st Field Artillery as a sharpshooter. His late wife Marjorie provided him with two beautiful daughters, and they had many happy years before she passed. Roy was lucky enough to find a second great love when he married his loving wife Dolores in 1990, gaining 3 loving stepdaughters.  Roy was a loyal worker; he was employed with Apple Electric of Milwaukee for 37 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #437 of Racine for many years. He also was a member of the VFW #7924 in Union Grove, WI for over 20 years.  He enjoyed gardening, home repairs for which he was known for his resourcefulness, bird watching, and his favorite past time was spending time with his beloved family.

Roy will be dearly missed by his loving wife Dolores, his daughters Anna (Gary) Toms and Ruby (Bob) Gleason, his stepdaughters Darlene (Todd) Sylvester, Donna (Mike) Brooks, and Chris Culliton. As well as his adoring grandchildren Gary (Nicki) Toms, Michael Toms, Roy Toms, Sara (Rob) Buchanan, Matthew (Amber) Gleason, Trevor Lynn, Austin Lynn, Ryan (Ming) Sylvester, Tabitha (Niki) Sandberg, Brett Sandberg, Julia Sandberg, Cheyanne Foley; and his great grandchildren Gabe, Heaven, and Angel Toms; Myla, Kayden and Mariah Toms, Connor Gleason, Jayden Sylvester, Anastazja Sandberg, Audrey and Adelyne Foley.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Pearl, his brother Carl A. House, and his first wife Marjorie.

A celebration of Roy’s life will take place on Saturday February 26th, 2022, at Integrity Celebrations Center (2789 Browns Lake Drive Burlington, WI 53105). Visitation will be from 10:00am to 10:45am, followed by an 11am memorial service concluding with military honors. Roy will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery in Racine at 1pm.
