Ronald Jung Obituary

Ronald ‘Ron’ Jung WATERFORD – Ronald Jung, 95, passed away in the late evening on June 9, 2022, at Pine Brook Pointe in Burlington. He was a former longtime resident of Waterford and Wind Lake, WI. He was born in Milwaukee on December 2, 1926, to John & Loretta (Geckler) Jung. He met the love of his life, Patricia ‘Pat’ (DeBack) at a dance in 1950. They were united in marriage on July 28, 1951 and loved each other on this earth for nearly 71 years. Their 71st wedding anniversary would have been on July 28th this year. They loved to dance, play cards, spend time with family and raise four kids. Ron and Pat went dancing nearly every weekend for many, many years.

Ron grew up in Muskego, WI. He went to West Milwaukee High School where he received a scholarship for drawing. After high school, he enlisted in the Army in 1949, served the 101st AIRBORNE & Army Reserve for many years. He also joined the Carpenter & Millwright Union Local 2337 working as a millwright. He received his 50th year pin for 50 years of service. He retired in 1987. During his working life, he had many occupations, mostly being a carpenter. He was a soldier, farmer, truck driver, welder among other things. He was an entrepreneur, an inventor and handyman. He could fix anything and did! He was a respected Godfearing man, husband, son, and DAD. He loved to laugh, especially with family and friends, sitting around a campfire telling stories and general BS’n. He had a great big hug and smile for everyone. He will most certainly be missed, but he is in a much better place, and we will see him soon. We imagine he is helping the Lord in building those mansions along with Uncle Norm, Praise the Lord!

He was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Waterford, WI. He belonged to the Senior Friendship Club at church as well. Ron also enjoyed the many years of watching his grandchildren play sports. Especially Crystie Cowan and Lauren Porter when they played softball and volleyball through graded school and high school. He had a very special relationship with his grandsons, Tom & Zackary Tymus.

In his departing, he leaves Pat and four children. His son and namesake, Ronnie (Linda), sons Scott (Terri) and Steven (Debbie) and daughter, Shelley (Chuck) Kempken. Grandchildren Ethan (Dani) Jung, Afton (Josh) Kehl, Adam (Trista) Jung, David (Kim) Jung, Brittany (Alan) Erb; Matthew (Becky) Jung; James (Kristin) Jung; Crystal (Dan) Cowan, Thomas Tymus, Lauren Porter (Danny Walter) and Zackary Tymus. Great-grandchildren Sean & Mikayla Jung, Landen & Sidney Kehl, Charlotte & Sophia Jung; Cole, Kennedy & Cayden Cowan, Lily Tymus, Westin & Aubrey Porter, Kora, Sabrina & Janessa Tymus. He is also survived by Joan Dibb (sister) and Pauline Jung (sister-in-law) and many nieces and nephews. He was Godfather to Dennis Wieselmann and Terry Schopp

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Norman Jung, sister, Raelene (Jung) Eigenberger, and brother-in law, Claude Eigenberger and brother-in-law, Donald (Joe) Dibb.

Ron’s family would like to thank Aurora at Home and the staff at Pine Brook Pointe Assisted Living for the care and compassion given to him and his family during their time of need. A very special “thank you” to Dakota and Natalie at Pine Brooke Point. Both young ladies held a very special place in his heart!
