Ronald Bartelt

Ronald Walter Bartelt passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, at LindenGrove Communities of Mukwonago.

Ron was born on July 9,1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Alvin and Alice (Wolfgram) Bartelt. Ron married Althea (otherwise known as Mikki) Bergmann on September 17,1955.
He worked as a carpenter for 40+ years. Ron was a member of the 32nd Army NG for 11 years.

God, family, and country were most important to Ron. He was very passionate about his hobbies. He was an amazing soloist, singing in several UCC Church choirs. He also excelled at playing the trumpet. Additionally, Ron enjoyed playing dartball, camping and traveling with Mikki pulling their travel trailers, and was an avid sports fan of the Green Bay Packers. He absolutely loved dogs and had a special bond with his beloved dog, Duber.

Ron was a proud parent of seven children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Alice Bartelt, daughter Christine Stevens, two sisters Joy Ann (Perry) Brott and Carol (Glenn) Gilbert, and sister-in-law Diane Bartelt.
He is survived by his wife Mikki, his daughter Cheryl (Anthony) Miller, daughter Bonnie Bartelt, son Richard (Christine) Bartelt, daughter Susan (John) Menzies, daughter Sandra (Glen) Brudnowski, daughter Karen (Patrick) Zeniecki, his brother Robert Bartelt from Arizona, 19 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Integrity Celebration Center, 2789 Browns Lake Dr. Burlington, WI 53105, on October 4, 2025. An open house memorial gathering will begin at 1:00 pm with a memorial service held at 3:00 pm.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to all the staff at LindenGrove Mukwonago and Commonheart Hospice for their care and compassion. An additional thanks to Pastor Phillip Rains and family for the beautiful ministry of words and music.
