Peter M. Leach

Peter (Pete) Michael Leach, 71, of Kansasville, WI, passed away peacefully at his home in Elkhorn, WI, on Monday, May 19, 2025. Pete was born December 4, 1953, in Burlington, WI, to Harold and Ruth (Clark) Leach.

Pete grew up on a dairy farm in Kansasville and never lost his love for the farm life. He graduated from Burlington High School in Burlington, WI, and attended UW-Madison. In 1978, until his retirement, Pete opened, owned, and operated Trend Roofing Wholesale under the philosophy of never missing an opportunity to provide top-quality materials, along with the best customer service. During his retirement, his love of farming continued, as well as being an avid big game hunter with travels to Africa, British Columbia, Alaska, Montana, and several other places for the big hunt, always having great stories to tell. Pete had the thrill for flight, owning and piloting his own Cessna 182, having piloted as far as Alaska and the Bahamas. Always up for a new adventure.

Dawn Simon and Pete were united in marriage on January 5, 2025, and lived together in Elkhorn, WI.

Pete is survived by and will be deeply missed by his wife Dawn; his children Michael (Ariel) Leach of Burlington, WI, Alexis (Heath) Henning of East Troy, WI, Michelle (Kyle) Page of Surf City, NC, and Samantha (Jacob) Flygare of Roscoe, IL; his 19 grandchildren; his siblings Sandy Taylor, Paul (Judy) Leach, Mary Jo (Victor) Palma, William (Theresa) Leach, and Harvey (Cheryl) Leach; many nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Andrew Leach.

A celebration of Pete’s life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Integrity Celebration Center, 2789 Browns Lake Dr., Burlington, WI 53105. Visitation will be held at 1pm until the time of an open mic service at 2:30pm. Following the service, Pete will be laid to rest at 3:30pm at Rosewood Cemetery, located on Durand Ave., Dover, WI 53105.
