Peter J. Fox

Peter John Fox, age 56, of Burlington, Wisconsin, passed into Eternity on February 5, 2026, in Caledonia, Wisconsin.

 Peter was born on July 31, 1969, St. Catherine's Hospital in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to his parents, Lyle Thomas Fox and Elizabeth (Betty) Jane Seiberlich Fox, their eighth child.  Peter attended Union Grove Elementary School and Union Grove High School, and served in the construction trades his entire life as a field superintendent.  Peter possessed the innate ability to view a situation, identify the problem, and find a solution.  He didn't give up until the problem was solved.  Although strong-willed and tenacious, Peter is best known for his kindness, humor, strong work ethic, and generosity.  He especially found joy and peace in the outdoors – whether camping, working with his hands or simply appreciating God's creation.  He loved “making magic happen" in the kitchen when preparing meals from scratch or from the few ingredients he found.  What people loved most about people was the way he loved people, the way he made them laugh, and by sharing his positive energy. 

Above all, Peter was a man of faith.  His relationship with God guided his life and shaped his character.  He lived his beliefs through action, helping others by demonstrating patience, humility, forgiveness, and love.  Peter was most satisfied when he was helping people less fortunate than himself, often taking personal risks to help someone turn their life around.

Peter was a devoted father, faithful servant of God, and friend to many.  He was a man defined by hard work, deep compassion, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.  

Peter will be remembered for his strength, warmth, wisdom, and the steadfast love he showed every day.  He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.  We take comfort in knowing Peter's memory and legacy live on in the hearts of his family and friends, in the values he instilled, the lessons he taught, and the love that will continue to surround those who knew him.

Peter is survived by his mother, Betty Fox, three children, Preston, Dylan, and Talia Fox, siblings Maria (Mary) Fox Schrubbe, Kathleen Fox, Nancy Barkley (Dennis), Roberta Olszewski (Wally Haag), Anthony Fox (Christa), and Brian Fox (Marlo).  Peter was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Fox, and brother Joseph Fox. 

A celebration of Peter’s life will be held on June 6, 2026, from 2-4 pm at Integrity Celebrations Center, located at 2789 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, Wisconsin.  Memorials may be made to the family.
