Norman Kenneth Swanson, born June 22, 1932, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026.
Norm was welcomed into the loving arms of God, where he was reunited with his parents, Russell and Mary Jane; his sons, Steve and Danny; his granddaughter, Amy; and many other beloved family members who preceded him in death.
He shared 74 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Dorothy, who survives him. He is also survived by his brothers, Doug and Mike; his children, Ken (Trish), Sue (Corky), Rick (Judy), Pat (Deb), Joe (Katie), and Laurie (Dan); his grandchildren, Justin, Christopher, Joe, Jake, Angi, Nick, Joel, Lauren, Ryan, Christian, Jeremiah, Lucas, and Emily; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; extended family members; and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Norm was an avid golfer and bowler; he found great joy in both sports throughout his life. He took particular pride in achieving the rare feat of bowling a perfect 300 game on more than one occasion.
Above all, Norm will be remembered for the life he lived, the love he shared, the family he cherished, and the countless memories he created with everyone who knew and loved him.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to his devoted caregivers, Karen and Patti, and to the compassionate hospice nurses from St. Croix for their exceptional care and kindness.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
