Nancy M Ketterhagen, age 68, of Burlington, WI passed away on Friday November 7th, 2025 surrounded by loving family at City of Hope Cancer Center in Zion, IL.
Nancy was born April 14th, 1957 in Reedsburg, WI and grew up in Burlington where she graduated Burlington High School with the Class of 1975. She married Lawrence Ketterhagen II on June 2nd 1979 and they were blessed with 3 children Lawrence III, Anya and Kyle.
Nancy was first and foremost a dedicated mother, but she had many jobs throughout the years, from helping manage the family farm and working in Dr Viney’s Dental office, to running a daycare from her home. She later obtained her Real Estate license working for Century 21 in Burlington, before working as a Title Examiner for Landmark Title and later an office Manager for Chicago Title in Elkhorn where she retired in 2016.
She loved sports and made many friends playing on the Fred’s softball team as well as many bowling and volleyball leagues through the years. She traveled extensively to watch her kids play volleyball and loved to watch the Brewers, Badgers, Packers and Bucks games. Nancy was a lover of water and could be found many summers fishing in her pond or making trips to Canada with her husband, or swimming and lounging by the pool either in her backyard or in Apache Junction, AZ where she and Larry split their time in retirement. She kept a busy schedule, tending her garden, putting together countless puzzles, organizing fish fries, card games, Packer parties and whatever other excuse she could find to gather her whole family together. Wherever she was Nancy brought smiles and laughter, spoiled her grandkids, and had a plan to feed everyone! She always said “if you leave my house hungry it’s your own damn fault!”
Nancy is survived by her husband Larry; her children Larry (Rachel) Ketterhagen, Anya (Jason) Strosina, and Kyle (Amanda) Ketterhagen; her grandchildren Claire and Grant Strosina and Ella, Charlotte and expected baby boy Ketterhagen; Sisters in law Bev Mather; Sue Boinski; Linda (Larry) Grover along with many nieces, nephews and other relations.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at City of Hope Cancer Center, especially Nurse Jacob and Doctor Charles Lindsey for their compassion and care.
A celebration of Nancy's life will be held on Sat. December 13th at Integrity Celebration Center 2789 S. Browns Lake Drive Burlington, WI from 1:00 -3:20pm, followed by a prayer and share service at 3:30pm.
