Michael Frank Davies

Michael Frank Davies, age 64, formerly of Greenfield, WI, passed away on April 1st, 2021 in Apache Junction, Arizona. Mike was born on January 26th, 1957 in Wild Rose, WI to John Clark Davies and Margaret Cook Davies.

He graduated from Wild Rose High School in the class of 1975. He attended the University of Wisconsin Platteville graduating with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1980. He was a proud member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.

Mike was a dedicated police officer of the Greenfield Police Department for 30 years. Mike served as a patrol officer, crime scene investigator, and liaison officer to the Milwaukee District Attorney's office. Mike held the position of treasurer for the Wisconsin Association for Identification for many years.

Involvement in his community was an integral part of who he was. Mike was part of the Union House Social Club, was an active parent in his children’s marching band and drum corps activities, and enjoyed attending in person or watching remotely from Arizona, his grandchildren’s sporting activities and games.

Mike married his best friend Paula on June 10th, 1995. Mike was a devoted husband and father, always putting his family first.

Mike is survived by his wife, Paula. His children: Christopher Plennes and his wife Tori of Victor, Idaho, Gina Wettberg and her significant other Tony Ricco of Greenfield, WI, Brent Davies and his wife Andrea Coblentz of Madison, WI, and Allison Davies and her fiancé Alex Renfro of Nashville, TN.

His grandchildren: Ariana Plennes (20), Quinn Plennes (16), Gianah Wettberg (13), Ryan Wettberg (11), Reid Fancher (10), and Katie Davies (2).

His siblings: Kathy Straw and her husband Mike, Mark Davies, Matthew Davies and his wife Julie.

His brother-in-laws: Ron Kluth and his wife Kathy, Brian Kluth and his wife Mary Ellen, David Kluth and his wife Rose. As well as nieces and nephews: David Davies, Eric and his wife Dana Straw, Emily and her husband Danny Van Buskirk, Cody Davies, Nicole and her husband Ben Koceja, Matthew and his wife Luci Kluth, Bethany Kluth, Joshua Kluth, Jeremy Kluth, William Kluth, and Jack Kluth. Mike is further survived by many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Mike had many dear and close friends especially Harley & Anet Marsh, Mark Handrich, Steve & Jean Wiechmann, Dennis & Sue Kubusek, Dave & Peggy Leon, Mark & Holly Franzen, Debbie & Dan Freimark, and Marsha Gawlak.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Peg and Clark Davies and his mother-in-law Dolores Kluth.

An open house visitation will be held on April 17th, 2021 at Integrity Celebrations Center, (2789 Browns Lake Dr. Burlington, WI 53105), from 1:30 PM until time of service at 3:50 PM. A private internment will occur on Monday April 19th, 2021 at Caersalem Cemetery in Wild Rose, WI.
