Michael Jon Biel

It is with heavy hearts we share the death of Michael Jon Biel, 57. Michael died suddenly, Thursday, May 14, 2020 at his home.

Michael was beloved son of Gordon and Nancy Biel. He was the dearly loved spouse of Jacquelyn. He was an amazing father to Dean (Kassi) Biel, Krystyna (Chad) Ostrowski and Samantha Biel (fiancé Ryan Rakovich). Michael was looking forward to meeting his first grandchild this September. Michael is survived by his loving mother Nancy and sister Laura (Robb) Krahn. He was a loved son-in-law of Jerry and Carol Nelson. He was an amazing uncle to Parker, Kellen, Jenna and Jordan. Michael was a loving dog dad to Ali. Michael is survived by many loving relatives.

Michael was proceeded in death by his father, Gordon, on September 29, 2003 as well as his brother-in-law Donald Nelson on November 18, 2019.

Michael was currently employed as the Business Agent/Training Coordinator of Local 183 – Milwaukee Sprinkler Fitters. Michael was passionate about his trade. He began as an Apprentice in 1986, became a Journeyman in 1991, became an Instructor in 1996, served on the Executive Board beginning 1997, becoming President of Local 183 in 2008. Michael began his final role, and possibly favorite, with Local

183 in 2013.

Michael was incredibly proud of his children. Dean followed in his footsteps becoming a Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter. Krystyna becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Samantha working as a Registered Nurse. He truly wanted the world for them.

Michael was an avid golfer, a lover of the Milwaukee Brewers and his Green Bay Packers. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends, especially his lifelong best friend, Glen Lago. Michael enjoyed being on the water either on his pontoon or his feet in the Gulf of Mexico. Michael’s favorite place in the world was Fort Meyers Beach and may have spent a time or two at the Tiki Bar.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be planned at a later date when it is safe to gather.
