Marion (Giersbach) Peters-Rock

Marion Mona (Betty Marie) Peters-Rock, age 87, of Racine, Wisconsin, passed peacefully in the comfort of her own bed on August 31, 2025, surrounded by her beloved dogs, Lovett and Trouble. She left this world on her own terms — exactly as she lived it — unapologetically and with a little fire in her spirit.

Born on March 7, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to William and Alice Giersbach, Marion lived a long and colorful life.

Marion was blessed with the devotion of several partners in love and marriage: Jerry Peters, Don Zuehkle, Alfred “Bud” Rock, and Howard Zoellick, all of whom preceded her in death. She was mother to three children: Lenny Peters, Cynthia “Cindi” Chase, and Phyllis Acker. She is now reunited in the afterlife with her son Lenny, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms and a wisecrack or two.

Marion is survived by her daughters, Cindi (Tom) Chase and Phyllis (Ken) Acker, as well as her sister, Elsie Parr. She was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Zoellick.

She leaves behind her grandchildren: Robby Chase, Lisa (Nick) Nicholson, James Acker, Steve Acker, and Nikki (Dean) Smith. Her legacy continues with her great-grandchildren: Jerome Allen, LeAnn Allen, Kody Chase, and Lilly Acker, as well as her great-great-grandchild, Meredith Barrett. Her many nieces and nephews also survive her. Each of them carries a piece of her wit, grit, and fierce independence.

Never one to sit quietly on the sidelines, Marion enjoyed the bright lights of Las Vegas casinos and the camaraderie of mingling with veterans at the VFW. May every squeaky floor be an echo of her humor, and every glass of Guckenheimer be a reminder to live life to the fullest. Her memory will be honored not by soft edges but by the bold strokes of a woman who lived fully, fiercely, and exactly as she pleased.
