Louella Jean (Bailey) Suss

Louella "Lou" J. (nee Bailey) Suss, 88 of Waterford, WI, formerly of Worthington, MN was called home by the Lord on 01/05/2021 after earning her wings as an angel. 

Lou was born 02/07/1932 in Niangua, MO to Joseph (Ralph) and Clarice (nee Dodson) Bailey. She graduated from Peterson, Iowa High School in 1949. She was united in marriage to Paul R. Suss on 11/28/1950 in Spencer, IA. In the early 1960's they settled in Worthington, MN to raise their 8 children.

Not only did Lou work as a full time devoted mother, she also worked for almost 30 years at Campbell Soup Company in Worthington, MN. 

Lou was fiercely passionate about her family and loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren like only a doting mother/grandmother could. Her family, including several "adopted" children, were of utmost importance to her and she treated each one as if they were the favorite. 

Lou loved cooking her famous fried chicken and mashed potatoes whenever there was a family gathering. She greatly enjoyed attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and was always their biggest and loudest fan. She also loved gardening and traveling to visit family who resided in various States. 

As the rock of the family, Lou will be remembered for her sense of humor, strong work ethic, and undying love and compassion for her family and all who were lucky enough to know her. She was truly the GOAT Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma. 

Lou relocated to Waterford, WI in 2009 where she remained until her death. A celebration of Lou's life will be held at a later date. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, and three children: Joan, Craig, and Douglas (Dugan). 

She is survived by 7 children: Roger, Portland, OR; Charlie (Crista), Brookfield, WI; Sharon (Verlin) Ailts, Yankton, SD; Stanley, Sioux Falls, SD; Frank (Nancy), Jacksonville, FL; Jeffrey (Mary Lou), Luling, LA; and Michelle (Philip) Glembin, Waterford, WI. 

She is survived by 16 grandchildren: Scott Suss, Erin Suss, Chadwick (Greta) Suss, Courtney Suss, Lesleigh (Brian) Ratino, Jared (Annie) Ailts, Nicholas (Emily) Suss, Holly Suss, Travis (Amy) Suss, Justin Suss, Derick Suss, Elizabeth (Arturo) Navas, Ellen Suss, Alexander Glembin, Zachary Glembin, and Cameron Glembin.

She is further survived by 8 great grandchildren: Evelyn Suss, Charlotte Suss, Kilian Ailts, Elise Ailts, baby Ratino, Jaxton Suss, Luella Suss, Abigail Suss.
