Lois L Ruppert, 85 years old, Burlington, WI, passed away December 27, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital.
Lois was born in Chicago, on June 12, 1940. Lois was the youngest of four daughters born to Henry & Irene (nee Keller) Garber. Lois was educated in Burlington Schools and spent her career working for various local companies, most notably, Marden Electronics and WVA where she formed many lifelong friends. She retired in May 2020, at the age of 80. Lois was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, win or lose, and she cherished time spent with family and her many friends.
Lois is survived by her partner in life, Fred Ruppert; her children Lori (Gary) Clarke, Edward (Patricia) Ruppert, and Kathy Dusing (Keith Wetzbarger); her grandchildren Jennifer (Ryan) Thurow, Sarah Nelson, Cole (Kristen) Clarke, Corey (Henna) Clarke, Kayla Dusing (Steve Stanczyk), Jerrica (Tim) Zumpano, and Joseph (Jackie) Ruppert. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Anthony (Chante) Bruhn, Aedan Bruhn (Connor Brossard), Arabella Thurow, Annaliese Thurow, Holly, Owen and Lorelei Nelson, Carter and Camden Clarke, Kaiden and Karsen Difiore, Jake Stanczyk and Wryn Ruppert, as well as great-great grandson, Jordan Marco Bruhn, along with her many nieces, nephews and special friends, including Pat Monzel.
Lois was preceded in death by her father, mother, sisters and brothers-in-law: Irene (Phil) Gerloff, Shirley (Ken) Kaspar and Carol (Gordon) Modrak.
The family will host a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 2:00-5:00 pm at Integrity Celebration Center (2789 Browns Lake Dr. Burlington, WI 53185). Lois was such a kind and compassionate person who championed for those less fortunate and loved animals. In her memory, the family suggests donations be made to a charity or animal rescue of your choice.
The family extends their sincere thanks to Dr. Paul Webber, and staff, and the many providers at Aurora for the exceptional care provided during her cancer treatment.
