Kevin Hall Obituary

Kevin D. Hall, 58, of Lyons, WI, formerly of Mt. Prospect and Manteno, Illinois died April 3, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Milwaukee.

Kevin was born October 24, 1959, son of D. Lynn and Patricia J. (O’Brien) Hall. Kevin spent his younger years in Manteno Illinois, and graduated High School from Mt Prospect High in 1977.  During his lifetime, Kevin earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Eastern Illinois University, and two Master’s degrees in Business Management and Human Service Administration, from Northern Illinois University and National Louis University, respectively.  In his early career he taught Special Education, but later in life worked with Developmentally Disabled adults.  Towards the end of his work life, he enjoyed expressing his creative and artistic skills working at Home Depot supervising in Gardening and Home Flooring Décor. Always the adventurer, after receiving his BA, he set out on a cross country camping trip with a dear friend, and ended up in Newport Beach, California, living on Balboa Island, and then moving to Phoenix, Arizona with other lifelong friends, before returning to the Midwest. Since returning to the Midwest, he focused his energies on work, family and friends, and he tended diligently to all three. An avid gardener and lover of life, Kevin’s late life companion was our Mom’s dog, Koko, who will miss him dearly.

Kevin is survived by his siblings, Gary Hall and Denise Jelinski-Hall, Monument, Colorado; Greg Hall and Ali Tabatabai, Chicago, IL; Karyn Hall and Wayne Erwin, of Burlington, WI; and sister-in-law, Mona Hall, of Bourbonnais, IL; and former sister-in-law Kate Schlee, of Arizona. A dedicated and loving Uncle, Kevin is also survived by nieces and nephews:  Michelle Hall Lombardi, Nikki L. Roberts, Daniel P. Hall, Nathan P. Hall, Tim Power, Neili Lopez, Ashley Wolf, and Margaret (Meggie) Hall Alexander. Also surviving are great nieces and nephews Alex, Arianna, and Addison Lombardi, Claire Vinopal, Shannon and Tanner Roberts, Andrew, Alyssa, Austin and Aidenn Lopez, and Sawyer Alexander. Kevin was anxiously awaiting the birth of his next Great Niece in the coming weeks. He is also survived by Uncles and Aunts, Daniel and Mary O’Brien, and Lynn O’Brien-Ahlden, Mike LaGesse, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
