Kathleen Sibilski Obituary

Kathleen Lynn (Becker) Sibilski passed away peacefully at Zilber Hospice in Wauwatosa on January 2nd, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Kathleen was born in Milwaukee on October 25th, 1943. She spent most of her life living in the Milwaukee area, with her final home being in Burlington, WI.

After graduating from Pulaski High School, she married James Sibilski, the love of her life, in Milwaukee at the age of 19.  They spent over 60 years walking hand in hand- finding joy in nature, traveling, and enjoying art.  She loved being creative, whether that involved flower arrangements, jewelry making, or interior design. She took great pride in her home, always making sure it was comfortable and warm for family visits.

Over the years, Kathy worked at places such as the American Bowling Congress and Northwestern Mutual Life. Yet, her greatest joy and satisfaction came from being a devoted homemaker and a supportive wife, mother, and grandmother.

Kathy passed away after a courageous two-year battle with ovarian cancer. Throughout her journey, Dr. Shamsuddin Verani stood by her side, bringing optimism and comfort to every visit and treatment session, helping her find the strength she never knew she had. The family is deeply grateful to Dr. Verani for his compassion, dedication, and unwavering support.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her adoring husband, James Sibilski; her Mother, Emily Constance (Pisarek) Ball; and her Stepfather, Martin Ball. She is survived by her brother Jeff Becker and her three children: Joseph Sibilski (Kathleen), John Sibilski (Stacey), and Katherine Brumley (Clinton). Furthermore, her 8 grandchildren: Jack, Alyse, Emily, Mary, Abigail, Andrea, Charles, Mollie, and her great-grandchildren Emma and Baby Schaefer. She will be deeply missed by her nephews, cousins and extended family members, and friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center and to all the doctors and nurses who provided comfort and care throughout the journey. They are also forever grateful to Kathleen’s dear friend, Kathy Roberts, whose love, friendship, and companionship over the last few years of her treatment meant the world to her.

There will be a celebration of life to honor Kathleen on Sunday, January 25th, 2026, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm at Integrity Celebration Center, (2789 Browns Lake Dr., Burlington, WI 53105). In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Burlington, WI.
