Jon Herman Ludtke, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 21st, 2025. Jon was born on May 16th, 1941, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and hard work. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He dedicated 35 years to driving semi trucks, where he was respected for his honesty, integrity, and kindness.
Outside of work, he found joy in volunteering for the Wheatland Fire Dept., racing pit crew, car shows with his 1958 Chevrolet Biscayne, gambling with his wife, and watching the Brewers & Packers. Above all he enjoyed being with his family the most. He was a devoted husband to Jean for 63 years, a proud father to Todd (Kim), Kelly (Wayne), Tammy, Mike (Tammie), Kimberly, and Mark (Renee). As well as a loving grandpa to Jeffery, Scott, Benjamin (Alexa), Elizabeth, Tyler (Sammi), Samantha (John), Jesse (Courtney), Nicole (Nick), Rya, Branden (Brailee), Meakena (Nicholas) Wylie, Paige, and Cole. Known as “Pa” to Addie, Nova, Baylee, Nash, Harper, Jayde, Hudson, Hayden, Brixley, and Oliver.
He was known as being silly, sassy, and had a personal joke or a nickname for everyone. He always had a smile or that funny face everyone knew. He was genuine, loving, and caring. He will be missed more than words can say. Forever loved, never forgotten, and forever missed.
Per Jon’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Join us for a casual celebration of life to be held on January 3rd, 2026, at 1pm until 3:45 pm at Integrity Celebration Center( 2789 Browns Lake Dr., Burlington, WI 53105). Casual or sports related attire suggested.
