James Fredrick Mullen, 69, of Lake Geneva, WI passed away peacefully at Pine Brook Pointe surrounded by his wife and kids on Sunday, December 31st, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
James was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 28th, 1954, to the late James R. Mullen and Lorraine (nee Koehler) Gunderson. Jim's early years were spent in Illinois until he made Lake Geneva his home.Jim enjoyed the thrill of snowmobiling up north in Land O Lakes, long cross-country rides on his Harley Davidson, and the simple pleasures of a good sunset on the deck. Jim enjoyed preparing and hosting meals that brought family and friends together to share memorable experiences around the dining table.
Jim was a driven entrepreneur, he owned several successful ventures, and partnerships throughout his career. He was self-made, and self-taught businessman, highly focused on providing for his family. Notably, he was part owner of Geneva Vans for over 30 years, contributing significantly to its success.
Jim is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cynthia (nee Ortiz) Mullen. He is also lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his children; Katherine (Adam) Paulick, Jonathan (Jerriann) Mullen, and Casey (John Kuehlman) Mullen. Jim leaves a lasting legacy through his six cherished grandchildren; Emily Mullen, Wren Paulick, Sean and Nick Mullen, Leif Paulick, and Aspen Kuehlman. Jim is also survived by his siblings, Nancy (Fred) Triebe and Russell (Sandy) Schaefer.
James F. Mullen will be remembered for his professional achievements, and for his generosity and warmth he brought to family and friends. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
