Heinz F. Bruhn, 82, of Burlington, formerly of Sheboygan, Milwaukee, Racine and New Port Richey, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center, Burlington.
Heinz was born on April 28th, 1939 in Rendsburg, Germany to Walter and Anna (Griwodz) Bruhn. On February 16th, 1950, he and his parents and brother, Rolf, arrived at Ellis Island, NY from Germany. Heinz grew up in Sheboygan where he graduated from Central High School on June 8th, 1957. He enjoyed his time playing on the high school football team and was very proud of his jobs as a teenager and buying his own car. Heinz proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 – 1960, stationed in Beaufort, SC. On September 4th, 1960 he married Madeline Tamm.
Heinz had a very unique wit and sense of humor! He will forever be remembered for his “Heinz Jokes”!!! He had a beautiful voice and loved to sing with Maddy! Heinz played the accordion and left us with happy memories of those times! He enjoyed keeping fit and riding his outdoor bicycle and exercise bikes as long as he was able.
Heinz was trained as a Radio Repairman in the US Marine Corps. Following that he was employed by AC Spark Plug (later Delco Electronics) in Oak Creek, and Twin Disc in Racine. He also served as a lay minister for the New Apostolic Church congregations in Wisconsin and Florida.
Heinz is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maddy, his children, Tammy (Carl) Laux, David (Sheri) Bruhn, grandchildren, Joshua Groth, Richard (Heather) Bruhn, Matthew Bruhn, Travis Laux, great-grandchildren, Emberly and Cambria Bruhn, sister-in-law, Mary Lou Bruhn. He is further survived by his step-grandchildren, Julie Laux, Curtis (Katie) Laux, and Maddy’s siblings, Dolores, Sylvia, Kathy, Bob, Ernie and their spouses, nephew, Skot Bruhn, niece, Krissie Murphy, nephew Rolf C. Bruhn (Danielle) and their families.
Heinz was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, Helmi, brother, Rolf, and his beloved aunt, his mother’s twin sister, Marie.

A memorial service will take place at a future date as well as Interment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
