Glenn Mitchell, 79, of Burlington, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on March 17th, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington. Glenn was born on April 18th, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to Theodore and Violet (Baker) Mitchell. His early years were spent in suburban Chicago area and he later settled in Wonder Lake, Illinois, then lived his final 11 years in Burlington. Glenn graduated from Antioch High School (Illinois). He worked as a machine operator at Rohm & Haas in Ringwood, Illinois (f/k/a Morton International) after which he enjoyed retirement. Although Glenn was disabled by polio as a young child, that didn’t stop him from enjoying life. He was an avid collector and hobbyist. His hobbies included building model cars and train sets, photography, Nascar and attending car shows. He was especially proud of his lifetime NRA membership and he was very fond of his cat, Fallon, and cared for him until he passed away.
Glenn is survived by his sister, Patricia Nickerson, his niece and nephew and many great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Mitchell and his mother, Violet Mitchell. . A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022 from 3:30-4:45 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 5:00 p.m. at Integrity Celebrations Center,(2789 Browns Lake Dr. Burlington, WI 53105).
