Gene A. Drought, age 79, of Franksville, WI, passed away on March 25th, 2025.
Gene was born January 27th, 1946, to the late Walter and Jeanette (Nee: Dolata) Drought. Gene loved growing up on a dairy farm in SE WI, which inspired his passion that stuck with him his entire life. He was an expert on Holstein cattle and particularly loved his red and white cows.
Being from Wisconsin, Gene was a die-hard Packers fan, having had season tickets since the County Stadium days. Gene loved sharing his tickets with family and friends and always enjoyed being an owner of the Green and Gold!
Gene was a devoted Wind Lake Lions Club member for many years. He could always be found cooking chicken at the street fair or helping at the easter egg hunt, and he always looked forward to their annual car show.
Throughout the years, Gene was a proud owner of Buick Rivera Cars. He claimed there was no better car than the smooth ride of a Riviera.
He is survived by his brothers, Jim (Carolyn) and Gerry Drought, two nieces, Laura (Owen) and Lindsey (Jeff), and his grandniece, Sadie. Gene will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His easy-going spirit and great sense of humor will not be forgotten.
An open house celebration of Gene’s life will be held on April 10th, 2025, at Integrity Celebration Center, (2789 Browns Lake Dr., Burlington, WI 53105), from 3:30pm - 6pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Raymond Fellowship Church, Wind Lake Lions Club, or National FFA Foundation.
