Elizabeth "Betty" (Schuerman) Remer

Elizabeth (Betty) Remer, 92, of Waterford, passed away on Monday, August 26th, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington.

Betty was born in Burlington on July 8th, 1932, with her twin brother, Burt, to Ben and Delia Schuerman. She attended Saint Mary’s High School and during that time worked for the McCannas.

In 1951, she married her soulmate James W. Remer. Soon after their first child Sharlene (Toolie) was born, followed by a son James (Jim) and later by another daughter Marlene (Punky).

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Delia Schuerman, and her husband Jim in 1992.

She is survived by her children Sharlene (Rich) Pasko, James (Wendy Cleasby) Remer, and Marlene Calira; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Betty will indeed be missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at 12:00 pm at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington, (108 McHenry St. Burlington, WI 53105), followed by burial at St Mary’s Cemetery.
