Eileen Anderson Obituary

Eileen M. Anderson (AKA Mrs. A), age 80, of Waterford, WI; passed away peacefully on March 11th, 2025, at ProHealth Hospital of Mukwonago, WI.

Eileen was born on March 27th, 1944, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ml to the late Armour & Marion Maleport. Her family moved to Green Bay, WI in early childhood where her family of Mom, Dad, three brothers, and one sister (all preceded in death) owned and operated a Standard Oil gas station and towing company for many years. This is where her enjoyment of collecting standard oil memorabilia stemmed from. Later Eileen moved to Milwaukee where she met and married Gary L. Anderson on October 3rd, 1970. This family of six went on to lead a somewhat unusual life with Gary as the idea man and Eileen as the one who helped pull it all off. She was very hardworking, independent, and loyal.  Her younger years were spent delivering sailboats across the country, the whole family in the van on the weekends, and Eileen always making it homey.

She was an amazing host for various events, baseball banquets, holiday meals, and birthday celebrations. Her house was the place to gather for this amazing cook and even better baker to shower you with her love through food.  Like a second mom to many of our friends growing up, she would lend an ear, give advice, and of course load you up with food. She loved to dance and graced the Blue Canary's dance floor many times with her husband Gary. Old-time country music was her favorite. Definitely a tough "cookie" on the outside but soft inside, willing to help without too much of an "I told you so". God, education, and hard work were the priorities for her girls. We used to tease Dad about being the only male in the house, including all the female pets! Mom's heart passion was animals, especially kittens/cats and she spent time caring for the feral cats in her area. Many pets over the years added to her quality of life, she loved them all fiercely. Eileen had a bit of passion for gambling, first the slots and then scratch-offs when she could not get to Las Vegas any longer. She certainly had some of that Irish good luck working for her. If you were in her sphere, you have one of the incredible crocheted blankets or a piece of art she created!

The couple raised four daughters in Milwaukee and then resided in Waterford since 1988. Gary and Eileen co-founded Anderson's Corn Roast Concessions, a business they were very proud of throughout the 46 years they owned it. Again, a unique business opportunity that they seized and made their own. The most amazing part were the people they met along the way. There were unique personalities, unusual talents, and friendships that were fostered through the many connections with the business. As a pair, their entrepreneurial spirit was unmatched.

Their employees were the hardest working crew out there, and became family along the way. Mom made sure to feed them well. Some of the most precious memories are corn roast related stories, ask us and we will share. Mom comes to life within those lives and stories.

Thank you to all those who contributed to making Mom's journey so amazing.

Never to be forgotten.

Eileen is survived by her four loving daughters, Kim (Bob) Hill, Pam (Steve) Kuehl, Brenda (Bob Hansen) Anderson, and Lynne (Craig) Lindsay, as well as her beloved grandchildren Amber, Robby, Gary, Kellie, Samantha, and Jaxson. She is further survived by her only great-grandchild, Sawyer.
