Darrell W. Fell

Darrell W. Fell (Aka: Deed) passed away peacefully on July 28th, 2020 at Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove at the age of 90, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Darrell was born on February 13th, 1930 in Burlington, WI to the late Warren and Evelyn (nee: Merrill) Fell.  He was the oldest of four sons.  Darrell graduated from Burlington High school class of `48.  He went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army and was discharged as a corporal.  On February 24th, 1951 he married the late Cora Vancil.  Darrell along with his friend Wenzel Smetana co managed Sentry Foods for 40 plus years. On August 27th, 2005 Darrell married his loving wife Shirley Datzer-Fell (nee: Kipp) in Burlington, WI.   In his free time Darrell loved watching the Packers, Badgers, Brewers, and Golf. 

Darrell is survived by his wife, brother Donald (Shirley) Fell, son Tom (Janet) Fell, daughter Kathy (Roger) Tripoli, stepson Chris (Kelly) Datzer, stepdaughter Laura (Dave) Wawrzyniakowski. He is further survived by loving grandchildren Nick Tripoli and Sarah (Brian) Severson; Brad Fell; Anna (Bevin) Dawson; Janey (Carter) Schmidt; and Zach, Alyssa, and Taylor Wawrzyniakowski.  Also survived by his great grandchildren Breck, Jude, Aela, and Lennin Dawson.  Darrell will be deeply missed by many other family members and friends. 

Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gene (Dorthy) and Wayne (Mary Jane) Fell, nephew John, and his first wife Cora.

A celebration of Darrell’s life will be held on Monday August 3rd, 2020 at Integrity Celebrations Center (2789 Browns Lake Dr, Burlington, WI 53105).  An open house visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until time of service at 6 PM. Darrell will be laid to rest at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
