Darlene J Swingle "Bunny" age 86 passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Kansasville on June 13th 2021. Darlene was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on May 3rd 1935 to the late Clarence and Leila (nee;Anderson) Petersen. After graduating from West Allis High School she became a homemaker and a proud mother of six children. She loved cooking, working outside in her garden and going on an occasional trip to the casino. She was a foster parent for 30 years and worked at Hoppe Homestead as a tour guide and later at Edstrom Industries where she retired after 13 years. She was a kind loving and giving person. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Darlene is survived by her six children Debbie Williams; Jackie (Tom) Serba; Susie (Duane) Dubiak; Charlotte Potter; Dino (Hani) Lohmeyer and Cory Lohmeyer. She is further survived by 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren as well as many friends and Neighbors.
Darlene is preceded in death by her brother's Donald and Leroy Petersen and her dear son-in-law Howard Potter.
Darlene will be laid to rest at Rochester Cemetery 31440 Washington Avenue/ County Highway D Rochester, Wisconsin 53105 on Wednesday June 16th, 2021 at 11 a.m. with a brief committal service for anyone who wishes to attend.
Darlene's family would like to thank Dr. Nikki Allen for her dedication and compassion. Thank you also to Vitas Hospice for their caring services and a special thanks to "nosy neighbor" Kathy for her help and support throughout Darlene's illness and thank you to all of those who gave their help and support.
