Chad Peterson Obituary

Chad William Peterson, 52 years old, of Burlington WI, died peacefully in his home with his loving family by his side on Sunday January 25, 2026, after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Chad was born on November 15, 1973, to his loving parents Dale & Colleen (Condrad) Peterson.  In his youth, Chad enjoyed the outdoors and country living. This included riding his horse, riding dirt bikes, four wheeling, snowmobiling, helping at family and friends’ farms, working on cars & snowmobiles and socializing with a wide circle of friends.

Chad married his Soulmate Heidi (Minor) Peterson on April 28, 2001. They shared a strong bond built on love, friendship, patience, and understanding. Chad loved being a father to his two boys Zachary and Logan Peterson. He always made time for his family and put his children first.  Chad was very involved in his sons’ interests. When his boys joined Cub Scouts, he became a Den Leader and then a Cubmaster. This is where Chad found his interest in Shooting Sports which would lead to his involvement with the Waterford Wolverine Shooting Team which his youngest son Logan shot on. Chad enjoyed coaching and helping kids learn how to do their best. He always encouraged his boys to try new things and to not be afraid of failing. Chad was well known in the community and could make friends with anyone he met. He was the life of the party and will fondly be remembered for his laughter, campfire stories, and his entertaining Karaoke performances.

Chad was a graduate of Burlington High School. He went on to become a Real Estate Appraiser with his dad through the late 90’s. Chad later built a career in sales supporting the concrete & landscaping industry. He was a loyal employee who worked for Alby Materials, The Brickyard (Milwaukee), Rochester Concrete Supply, and Witte Supply Company.

Chad is survived by his wife, Heidi; his sons, Zachary & Logan; and his parents, Dale & Colleen, and numerous family members and a wide circle of friends.

Chad was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Duane & Phylis Peterson, and maternal grandparents, John & Barbara Condrad.
