Carol Jean Schade

Carol J. Schade, age 65, of New Munster, Wisconsin, passed away on April 26th, 2025, at home surrounded by loved ones.

Carol was born on August 19th, 1959, to Jeanette E. (Nee: Weber) and James G. Brown in Burlington, where she was raised. Carol graduated from Burlington High School and worked at Reineman’s Hardware for many years.  Carol married her loving husband, the late Willard Schade, on April 27th, 1985. She was an avid NASCAR fan with her husband and son.  She loved to feed and watch the birds.  Carol made numerous blankets for the Children’s Hospital.

Carol was not only a very caring woman, but she was also very strong, which is shown by being a 23-year cancer survivor.

Carol is survived by her siblings, Judy (Tom) Firkus, Tom (Diane) Brown, and Joan Brown.  Also, her stepchildren, Doreen Kamp and Russell Gehrke, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Justin, husband Willie, and stepson Glenn Gehrke.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday May 17th at 10am at St. Mary's Cemetery (108 McHenry St. Burlington, WI 53105).
