Carl Raymond Mangerson, age 90, of Waterford, formerly of Rhinelander, WI passed away peacefully on July 30th, 2022, at Waterford Senior Living surrounded by family.
Carl was born July 29th, 1932, to the late Carl Julius and Alisa Kjestina (nee Skott) Mangerson. He graduated from Rhinelander High School. He married Cleo Riach in 1956, had 4 daughters, and lived the remainder of his life in the greater Milwaukee area. He came to know Christ in the mid 70’s and everyone who knew him, knew he loved Jesus. He read the Bible daily and knew it well. He prayed faithfully daily for his family and friends.
He proudly served in the United States Military. He entered the WI National guard in 1951 serving in an infantry unit then transferred to the United States Air Force Weather Service 1952-1956. In 1953 he went to Korea and his duties included weather observer and drawing weather maps during the Korean War for the 30th Weather Squadron, within a mile of the front in the Kumhwa Valley until the war ended, then went to Seoul as Chief Weather Operator. He returned stateside in 1954.
Carl graduated from Devry Technical Institute in 1960, receiving a diploma in broadcasting communication. He worked at Delco as a computer technician and system technician, Inryco as an industrial electrician, ending his career at Charter Wire in Maintenance where he met his good friend Floyd.
Carl is the beloved father of 4 daughters; Carla (Wayne) Wiedenhoeft, Teresa Heise, Louisa (Michael) Tomrell and Christy (William) Schuyler. The loving Grandfather of 11 Grandchildren; Shawn Squires, Destiny (Ray) Goetz, Kyle (Rachel) Whitley, Rachel Heise, Michael (Mina) Witte, Jenna (Nick) Kuchler, Rebecca (fiancé Clinton) Heise, Malia Heise, Kellon Whitley, Daniel (fiancé Samantha) Tomrell, and Brianna (Becca)Tomrell. And was the adoring Great Grandfather to 11 great grandchildren; Gunnar Squires, Austin Squires, Bryce Squires, Hayden Heise, Bella Kuchler, Jace Kuchler, Kallie Whitley, Warren Whitley, Ryker Witte, Gabriella Baackes, and Ellaria Witte. He is further survived by his dear friend Bernadette Asiatidis, sister-in-law Janet Mangerson, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Charles Robert Mangerson, Judson Waldimir Mangerson, John Richard Mangerson, Walter Scott Mangerson. He is further preceded in death by his sister-in-law Jeannie Mangerson and best friend George Asiatidis.

A celebration of Carl’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022, at Integrity Celebration Center, (2789 Browns Lake Dr., Burlington, WI 53105). A memorial gathering will be held from 1:30 PM until time of service at 2:50 PM concluding with Military Honors. Carl will then be laid to rest at Rochester Cemetery at 4:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, any donations received will be given to Children’s and Veteran’s Charities.
