Elizabeth “Betty” Lee Pestka (nee Moos) age 90, passed away October 9th, 2021 at Oak Park Place Assisted Living Facility. Betty was born June 22nd, 1931 in Illinois to the late Charles and Jenney (nee Doherty) Moos. Betty grew up in Bristol, WI. She graduated from the Agricultural School in Rochester, WI. Betty’s first husband was Henry Voelkering and he blessed her with five children. Betty was a hardworking and sweet soul and had a gift for caring for others. She was a CNA for roughly ten years, but her favorite and most important job was being a homemaker and taking care of her children. On May 19th,1973 Betty married the love of her life Ed Pestka and they shared 41 beautiful years together before Ed passed in 2014.
Betty will be dearly missed by her loving children Sharon (Larry) Freitag, Butch (Pam) Voelkering, Kathy (Doug) Paddock, and Lorie (Toby) Hall. As well as her stepchildren Sue (Gary) Norris, Joanie (Rick) Vanderhoff, and Patsy Hendricks. Betty is further survived by her many adoring grandkids including 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; as well as her sisters in-law Jeanette Moss and Donna (Kenny) Moeser.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Jenney. Her husband Ed, her son Charles Voelkering, her stepson John Pestka, and her brother Chuck Moos.
Betty will be laid to rest at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery (4300 Green Bay Rd, Kenosha, WI 53144) on Thursday October 21st, 2021, at 11am.
