Bernard Dale Tamsett of Waterford, WI, passed away on June 9th, 2024 at the age of 75. He honorably served his country as a United States Marine in Vietnam where he received the Purple Heart, amongst other service honors. Afterwards, he worked as a machinist for Harley Davidson for 38 years. He met his wife, Anita, through their love of motorcycles. Together they had two sons, Bernie Jr and Brandon (Darbie). He was a proud football father and spent his retired years traveling to watch his sons compete both in high school and at the collegiate level. Bernard was a lover of island vacations, reading the paper, and drinking Jack Daniels. In the last year, he spent time on the beaches of Mexico with Anita, attended the wedding of Brandon and Darbie, and took an Honor Flight to Washington DC with Bernie Jr.
He is survived by his brother Tom (Jackie), his nieces Kari (Jared) and Stephanie, great nephew Zack, great niece Aly, and mother-in-law Ursula. He is preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Barbara, sister Barbara, nephew Keith, and sister-in-law Carol.
Bernie will be laid to rest at Sourthern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 21731 Spring St, Union Grove at 3 pm on June 27th, 2024 with full military honors. Following the graveside service we welcome all to join us in sharing a memory and a drink in honor of Bernie at Integrity Celebrations at 2789 Browns Lake Dr, Burlington from 5-6:30 pm. There will be a service of prayer and sharing at 6:45 pm (Please wear a Hawiian or Harley Davidson shirt)
