Alan S. Ragio (Al), age 77, passed away Saturday, December 6th at Prohealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Al was born February 14th, 1948, to the late William and Dena Ragio. Al married the love of his life, Karen Gaal, in December of 1969. They had one daughter and shared 59 years of marriage, filled with love and joy.
Al worked at Alby Materials for 30+ years, where he was known as Al Fonz. When Al wasn't riding his Harley, you could find him on a lake fishing. He liked to sneak in 9 holes of golf with the neighbors when his shoulders permitted. Fishing trips to Canada and the Wisconsin Northwoods were his type of vacation. Al could not sit still; thankfully, there was always something to keep him busy outside. He also had a firm policy that Sundays were for football, family, and Sunday dinner.
Al will be dearly missed by his loving wife Karen, his daughter Angela, his granddaughter Morgan, his grandson Austin, and his great-grandson Sebastian. As well as his sisters, Wildene Obrenovich, Nancy (Tom) Dixon, Linda (Nunzi) Catania, Dena (Marty) Rivera, and many more beloved relatives and friends.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Bill, Ilene, and Anita. His brothers-in-law, Nick and Dick. As well as nephews Jay and Adam, niece Leah, and great-nephew Logan.
A celebration of Alan’s life will take place on Sunday, December 14th, 2025, at Integrity Celebrations Center. There will be an open house visitation from 11:30am to 2:00pm, followed by a prayer service and military honors.
