Robert "Bob" R. Meyer

Robert R. "Bob" Meyer of Wind Lake, WI; age 78, was called home to the Lord on July 22nd, 2019 in Waterford, WI. He was born January 6th, 1941 to the late LaVern & Dorothy Meyer in Piggsville in Milwaukee, WI.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Deanna J. Meyer (nee Smith).

He worked for over 40 years at Goodyear/Wingfoot. He was very dedicated to his work whether it was being a mechanic, service manager, or field representative.

Bob loved to garden, go fishing, and ride his bike in the neighborhood. He was an active member in his church Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Milwaukee Brewers.

He is survived by his three children Robin Bodden, Steven (Rhonda) Meyer, and Joleen (Dewey) Clayton. His grandchildren Joshua (Jaclyn Sanchez) Meyer, Kaleigh (Greg) Musgrove, Krystal (Chad) Stollenwerk, Darby (Nate) Bruemmer, Mandy (Ben Taylor) Pomahac, Justin (Annora) Meyer, Sara (Michael Wilson) Pomahac, Alex Meyer, Jonathan (Jordyn Groat) Clayton, and Joshua (Kristine) Clayton; his great grandchildren Liam, Addison, Gage, Danika, Hazel, Olive, Graysen, Evelynn, Hayden, Maggie, Rowan, and Aaron. He is further survived by James (Carolyn) Meyer, Janice (Paul) Zick, John Meyer, Suzanne (Tim) Parson, Paulette Meyer, Judy (Bob) Niedzwiecki, Harlan Smith,  and Rae Ellen (Joe) Gorecki. The loss of Bob will be felt by countless others including nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and his plus-one Rosanne Hahn.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents LaVern and Dorothy Meyer, his father and mother in-law Howard and Dorothy Smith, his brothers Ronald and Richard Meyer, and in-laws Sheri Meyer, Sue (Bill) Erickson, and Doris Smith.

Bob will be cremated and private committal service of his ashes will be held at a later date.

A celebration of Bob’s life will take place on Sunday July 28th, 2019 at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church (W124S9995 North Cape Road Muskego, WI 53150). Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:15 pm, followed by a 2:30pm memorial service.

Memorials are suggested to Helping Hands Food Pantry and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
