Robert L. Walcott

Robert L. Walcott, age 88 of Austin, TX; passed away on December 1st, 2018 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born October 30th, 1930 to Robert and Wilma Walcott in Gary, IN. Robert spent his younger years in Chicago, IL and Cottage Grove, MN. On November 17th, 1951 Robert married the love of his life Jeanne Marie and they had 51 beautiful years together.

Robert was a hard worker and very loyal, he worked for Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing (3M) for 46 years before retiring in 1997. He was active in his community, becoming a member of the Lyons Club and the Knights of Columbus. Robert’s faith gave him a passion for serving others by volunteering at his church St. Thomas More Church and Faith in Action Caregivers both based out of Austin, TX.

Robert will be dearly missed by his children Terence Walcott and Patricia (Fidel Guardiola) Walcott, his loving grandchildren Samantha Walcott, Elizabeth (Crist) Siebenalar, Sean (Elise) Walcott; and his adoring great grandchildren Autumn, Brecken, Leighton, Hudson, Everly, and Hayden.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Wilma Walcott and his loving wife Jeanne.

A Memorial Mass honoring Robert’s life will be held January 3rd, 2019 at 10:00am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (10205 N FM 620 Austin, TX 78726). Robert will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights, MN at a later time with a private family service.
