Kenneth D. Sonnichsen

Kenneth “Ken” Daniel Sonnichsen , age 73, it is with great sadness the family of Ken shares his passing on August 7th, 2018.

Ken enlisted in the U.S.  Air Force in 1963. He also served a yearlong tour of duty in Vietnam. Ken spent most of his career employed at American Motors in Kenosha. He enjoyed family and friends and will always be remembered for his love and skill of pocket billiards.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Daniel M. Sonnichsen, and his mother, Marian F. Sonnichsen.

He will be lovingly be remembered by his brothers Keith of Tampa, FL; Mike (Mary Kay) of Waterford, WI; and Craig of Milwaukee, WI. Ken will also be remembered by his nephews Mark (Julia), Andrew, Eric, and Daniel. Along with second cousins Taylor and Jayden as well as his sister in law Chris of Illinois. A heartfelt thank you to Ken’s special friend Kathleen Detlaff, for making his life happy and fulfilled.

A celebration in honor of Ken’s life will be held on August 17th, 2018. A committal service will be held at 2pm at Salem Mound Cemetery ( Corner of Hwy 83 and 288th Avenue in Silver Lake, WI). Following the committal service, the family invites you to join them for a time of sharing at Scully’s Silver Lake Grill (107 S. Cogswell Drive Silver Lake, WI 53170).
