John Patrick Hall, 90, Fort Atkinson, formerly of Tomahawk, passed away on December 19, 2018 at Dycora Transitional Health & Living. John was born in Jacksonville, Missouri to Charley Pearl and Josephine (Patrick) Hall of Cairo Missouri. John left school after the 8th grade to help on the family farm. He was blessed to have two great loves in his life. His first wife was Marge Paige Rose. His second beloved wife was Helen Fagan and they shared many wonderful years together.
He proudly served in the United States Navy for 20 years as Senior Chief Boiler Technician. He continued his education in the service by earning a diploma from the International Correspondence Schools for Industrial Psychology. John served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam war before he retired in 1964. He went on to work at Pabst Brewery as Chief Engineer until his retirement when he then moved to Tomahawk with his wife Helen to enjoy fishing and the outdoors. In 1974 John graduated from Mitchell Aero, Inc with a certificate for Private Pilot and Commercial Pilot. He would go on to be a flight instructor, but his real love was flying his own planes.
John will be dearly missed by his sons, Steve (Sue) Hall, Charlie (Tracy) Hall and his daughter Theresa Hall. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his wife Helen (Fagan) Hall, his daughter Nancy Hall, Margaret Paige (Rose), his parents, and his half-sister Hazel Golightly.
